Habitat: Low elevation, moist, open, coniferous woods, along the forest edges.
Figwort Family - Perennial
Cluster of lavender bell-shaped blossoms on upright stems 1"-4". One of the first plants to bloom in early Spring. Sometimes referred to as Snow Queen because it can bloom as early as December or January. May be seen in the Columbia River Gorge West of Cape Horn, East to Dog Mountain.
Companion Plants: Viola glabella, Dicentra formosa, Smilacina stellata, Oxalis oregana, Trillium ovatum, native ferns.
